Warcraft Survivors on GitHub

Sources checked: 2026-10-28 · Repository metadata and survivors branch README checked 2026-10-28. The API and README count as one source.

What the README commits to

The survivors branch README describes nine classes, ten battlegrounds, 15-minute runs and a boss every 2.25 minutes. These exact mode figures are single-source repository claims. There is no browser build in this repository. Installing it means a Rust toolchain, a C compiler and your own English 1.12.1 build 5875 data. Clone the survivors branch, then use the documented cargo survivors command. The main branch describes the base benilla client instead. This site does not distribute game data.

OutThisLife/azeroth-survivors-re is a different repository (417 stars, 187 forks) tied to the browser game by Aethus. Cloning AdamMcWilliam’s repo will not give you wow.aethus.pl.

The 2023 map with the same title

Hive’s Warcraft Survivors map from 26 July 2023 is also not this code. That file is 27.38 MB and runs inside Warcraft III. Three projects, one string of words.

What I checked

I compared the GitHub creation dates from the API: 3 October for this repo, 13 October for azeroth-survivors-re. The order matters, because people assume the more famous browser game came first and that this repo is its source. It is not.
