Another 1.12.1 project

Hordes of Azeroth

Sources checked: 2026-10-28 · README rechecked 2026-10-28. Exact requirements and size are single-source README claims; the API is not a second independent source. No semantic version was listed.

How it differs from the names next door

AdamMcWilliam’s warcraft-survivors is also a 1.12.1 build 5875 project, with ten battlegrounds and 15-minute runs, under MIT and Apache-2.0. Hordes of Azeroth’s README says solo only. Azeroth Survivors is the browser game and does not need you to point it at a 1.12.1 folder.

There is a second repository in the same search for a server. I did not treat that as multiplayer support, because the game README still says solo. No player count beyond “solo” is printed.

What I checked

I rechecked the README: its 3 GB figure means free disk space, not RAM; the first-install download is about 460 MB. Those are the kind of numbers that get rounded in forum posts, and 460 MB is not the 719.9 MiB Windows archive of Azeroth Survivors.
